Westonka Animal Hospital in Mound, MN is seeking an Associate Veterinarian for a full-time position at our AAHA-Accredited, Gold Cat Friendly practice on Lake Minnetonka. You'll join a supportive team with a broad GP caseload, offering wellness, preventive care, dentistry, surgery, and urgent cases, plus ongoing mentorship for new graduates or autonomy for experienced doctors.

• Interest In: Practicing high-quality, comprehensive small-animal general practice within an AAHA-Accredited + Gold Cat Friendly Practice, where you'll have the team, resources, and case variety to continue growing throughout your career. Westonka Animal Hospital offers a well-rounded mix of wellness and preventative medicine, internal medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, senior care, pain management, chronic disease management, client education, and same-day/urgent cases.

• Open to New Graduates or Experienced Veterinarians: We're excited to welcome either a new graduate looking for the right place to build a strong clinical foundation or an experienced veterinarian looking for a collaborative, established hospital where they can practice with autonomy and continue growing.

• New Graduate Mentorship – Build Confidence the Right Way: New graduates will benefit from our structured, one-year New Graduate Mentorship Program, including a dedicated Clinical Mentor, intentional schedule overlap, regular mentor meetings, goal-setting, virtual learning opportunities, and coaching around client communication and professional development. You'll also have access to our 5-day Surgical Mentorship Program, offered year-round in a small-group environment where participants typically complete approximately 20–40 surgeries, as well as a 2-day Dental Wet Lab led by our veterinary dental specialist and designed to build confidence in everyday dentistry.

Pair that structured mentorship with an established hospital environment and a broad GP caseload, and you have an excellent place to develop your clinical judgment while progressively becoming more independent.

• Experienced Veterinarians: Experienced doctors will find the clinical autonomy to practice high-quality medicine while still having a collaborative team around them. Westonka's broad caseload creates room to pursue individual interests in areas such as surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, diagnostics, senior medicine, or urgent care.

• More Than Routine GP – Surgery & Interesting Cases: For veterinarians who enjoy surgery or want to continue developing their procedural skills, Westonka offers exposure beyond routine spays and neuters. The hospital performs laser surgery, growth removals, emergency wound and laceration repair, splenectomies, intestinal foreign-body procedures, and other advanced surgeries, creating opportunities to continue developing procedural and surgical confidence.

• AAHA-Accredited + Gold Cat Friendly Practice: Westonka is both an AAHA-accredited hospital and a Gold-level Cat Friendly Certified Practice, reflecting an intentional commitment to high standards of medicine and a lower-stress experience for patients.
