Humane Society Brand in Florida seeks a compassionate Wellness Veterinarian to provide preventive care and perform surgeries for owned pets at our Pinellas County clinic. This full-time role supports AAHA-accredited services in a nonprofit setting and may require weekend work in the future.

Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Wellness Veterinarian to join our team! In this role, you'll provide top-notch preventative care while having the opportunity to perform surgeries for owned pets. If you're passionate about promoting animal health and well-being, and enjoy the challenge and variety that comes with surgery, don't miss out!!! Our Pinellas Campus is expanding to open our clinic in September/October. As Florida's first non-profit animal hospital to achieve AAHA accreditation, at our Tampa location, we pride ourselves on meeting the critical need for accessible veterinary services in our community. We look forward to being able to provide the same exceptional service to the community in Pinellas County.

This position is full-time, with benefits, and may require working a weekend day in the future.

Education: Must possess a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine

Experience: Must possess a valid State of Florida license to practice veterinary medicine and have at least one year of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter.

Skills: Must be personable, able to communicate with and direct staff and work as a member of a team. Must be able to life 50 pounds on a regular basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• DVM Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree
• Has and maintains a Valid and Current State of Florida Veterinarian License
• Computer skills required: Internet Software; (Outlook); and Shelter Luv software (or similar software).

• Ability to walk, climb stairs and ladders, run, stoop, bend, stand, push, pull, move and carry heavy objects.
• Standing for long periods.
