Job description

Love Surgery? Want More Variety in Your Day

Animal Medical Care Center & Cat Hospital, a CareVet partner, is looking for an experienced full-time veterinarian to join our collaborative two-doctor team.

A $125,000 signing bonus, consistent surgery and dentistry, and an engaging mix of dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and pocket pets — at a pace that lets you practice thoughtfully. If you want interesting cases and an experienced team behind you, this is the role.

Quick Snapshot

• Consistent opportunities for surgery and dentistry
• A diverse caseload — dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and pocket pets (exotics optional, never required)
• Collaborative 2-DVM team with strong, experienced technician support
• A manageable pace — predictable scheduling, thoughtful appointment pacing, rotating Saturdays
• An established, diverse client base

What It's Like to Practice Here

This is a well-established, multi-species practice where you'll see genuinely interesting cases alongside an experienced, supportive team — with regular chances to use your surgical and dental skills.

This isn't a high-volume, high-pressure environment. Our doctors have the time, resources, and support to work cases up thoughtfully and practice at a comfortable pace. You'll have real autonomy over your cases, with a collaborative team that's readily available whenever you want another perspective.

And if you're interested in exotics, the birds, reptiles, and pocket pets are here for you to grow into — but exotics experience is never required.

Medical Capabilities & Support

You'll have the tools and clinical support to confidently manage a wide range of cases:

• Advanced diagnostic capabilities
• Fully equipped surgical suite
• Dedicated dental capabilities
• Multi-species treatment areas
• Experienced clinical support staff

Who We're Looking For

An experienced veterinarian who's comfortable with general surgery and dentistry and enjoys a varied caseload. This could be a great fit if you value:

• Consistent opportunities to perform surgery and dentistry
• A collaborative approach to medicine
• Strong technician support and clinical autonomy
• An interesting, varied caseload
• Predictable scheduling and real work-life balance

What You'll Get

• Competitive six-figure base salary plus production
• No negative accrual
• 1:1 personalized career coaching
• Lucrative bonus packages
• Flexible scheduling
• "True" paid time off (base and production)
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance
• 401(k) with company match
• 100% paid life and disability insurance
• Generous pet care perks
• Access to a financial planning platform
• Employee Assistance Program
• Paid time and allowance for professional development
• Access to our doctor vacation program
• And more — check out our Ultimate CarePackage

Why You'll Love Niles

Niles offers affordable living, short commutes, and easy access to Youngstown and Warren — while still being within driving distance of both Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Off the clock, you'll enjoy:

• Shopping, dining, and entertainment at Eastwood Mall and throughout the area
• Outdoor recreation at Mosquito Lake State Park
• Easy access to nearby communities and larger metros
• A comfortable pace of life with plenty to do
