Mount Carmel Pet Hospital in Mount Carmel, TN is seeking an enthusiastic veterinarian to join our rural practice with diverse case loads in dentistry and surgery. You’ll work with a supportive team and have access to full diagnostic and surgical tools in a family-friendly community.

The ideal candidate holds a DVM/VMD, current state license, and DEA/BNDD eligibility, plus excellent communication and professional presentation with clients and staff.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
• State licensure to practice veterinary medicine.
• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD registration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose diseases or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results.
• Advise owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide counsel on end-of-life care for pets.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records for patients.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant regulations.
