Job summary

Eastern Animal Hospital in Baltimore is seeking a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine to join our 12-doctor AAHA-accredited team. You’ll deliver comprehensive medical, surgical, dental and preventive care in a high-tech facility with on-site ICU and 24/7 staff.

Mentorship for new grads (3–6 months), strong focus on client education and personalized treatment plans, and access to advanced imaging (Mindray Vetus E7 ultrasound, endoscopy) support your growth.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from AVMA-accredited institution.
• State licensure and eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
• Ability to lift patients/equipment up to 25 pounds; with assistance beyond 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose disease or injury.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and collect samples; interpret results.
• Advise owners on preventive care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide counseling around end-of-life care for pets.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and applicable laws.
