Job summary
White House Veterinary Hospital is seeking a veterinarian to join a two-doctor team providing high-quality care to small animals and exotics, including dogs, cats, pocket pets, birds, and reptiles. Qualifications
- DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
- State licensure in good standing.
- DEA/BNDD eligibility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
- Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds; assistive lifting beyond that.
Responsibilities
- Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose disease or injuries.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and collect samples; interpret results.
- Advise pet owners on preventive care and treatment options.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
- Provide counsel on pet end-of-life care.
- Maintain medical records for patients.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and applicable policies and laws.
