Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of practicing vet experience focused on general/urgent/emergency care.
• Valid and active veterinary license.
• Proven surgical skills across a range of conditions.
• Excellent communication with pet owners and team.
• Strong problem-solving under stress.
• Compassionate and empathetic animal care.
• Ability to work weekends/holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a variety of animals, including pets and livestock, with a range of medical conditions and diseases.
• Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, neutering, and spaying, as well as complex surgeries.
• Respond to emergency and urgent care cases effectively and efficiently.
• Provide general practice care, including routine check-ups, preventative care, and health advice to pet owners.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with pet owners, providing clear communication and education about their pet's health.
• Collaborate with veterinary assistants and other medical staff to provide top-notch care to patients.
• Keep accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring all treatments and procedures are documented.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine and integrate new treatment methods into practice.
