BluePearl Pet Hospital in Monterey, CA, seeks a residency-trained or board-certified DACVECC critical care specialist to join our team of thirteen doctors in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Our facility features an in‑house laboratory, digital radiographs, CT, ultrasound, color‑flow Doppler, telemetry, endoscopy, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, and electrosurgical equipment. We offer teaching opportunities for new graduates through our rotating small animal internship program.

Qualifications

• Board-certified DACVECC or residency-trained in critical care.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication with referring veterinarians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level critical care to emergency and referral cases.

About PSM

Pet Specialists of Monterey (PSM), a BluePearl Hospital, is an AAHA certified, state-of-the-art, 24‑hour emergency and referral hospital located in Monterey, on the beautiful central coast of California.

PSM is located adjacent to the white sand beaches of Carmel and the spectacular coastline of Big Sur, offering some of the most pristine beaches, hiking trails, and camping in California. Position Overview

We are seeking a full‑time residency trained or board certified (DACVECC) critical care specialist to join our team of thirteen doctors, including seven specialists. Our facility features an in‑house laboratory, digital radiographs, CT scan, ultrasound, color‑flow doppler, telemetry unit, endoscopy, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, and electrosurgical equipment. The environment is fast‑paced, challenging, and collaborative. With board‑certified specialists in critical care, surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, and oncology, the ideal candidate will be hard‑working, motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work harmoniously and effectively with other doctors, staff, and referring veterinarians. As a teaching hospital, all doctors play a role in training new graduates through our rotating small animal internship program.

Compensation & Sign‑On Bonus

• Average Base: $187,000 - $245,000
• No Non‑Compete Clause
• Generous Sign‑On Bonus
• Production pay with no negative accrual (paid quarterly)
