Global Talent Partners is excited to present an excellent opportunity for an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join a busy and well-established small animal hospital in Tacoma, Washington.
This position offers an excellent middle ground between general practice and traditional emergency medicine. You'll focus on same-day, urgent and time-sensitive cases within a structured clinical environment, without the demands of overnight emergency work. With a 4:1 support staff-to-doctor ratio, flexible shifts and an experienced clinical team, you'll have the resources to work through cases efficiently while maintaining a high standard of patient care.

The hospital is supported by modern diagnostic and treatment facilities, allowing doctors to quickly investigate cases and make informed clinical decisions.
One of the major advantages of this opportunity is the level of clinical support available.
The hospital maintains an impressive 4:1 support staff-to-veterinarian ratio, with an experienced nursing and support team accustomed to managing high-flow and urgent cases.
This allows veterinarians to focus more of their time on examinations, diagnostics, treatment planning and client communication while the wider team supports patient care and clinical workflow.
The culture is collaborative and organized, with doctors and support staff working closely together to keep cases moving efficiently, even during busier periods.
Unlike a traditional GP position, this role is specifically focused on urgent and same-day medicine, making it an excellent option for veterinarians who enjoy variety, problem-solving and a faster clinical pace.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop further experience in urgent medicine while maintaining greater schedule predictability than many traditional emergency positions.
Tacoma offers an excellent balance between city living and access to the outdoors. Positioned on the shores of Puget Sound, the city provides waterfront parks, restaurants, arts and entertainment while generally offering a more relaxed feel than nearby Seattle.
Outdoor enthusiasts have easy access to hiking, mountain biking, kayaking and skiing, with Mount Rainier National Park within reach for weekend adventures. Seattle is also easily accessible, providing additional entertainment, sporting events and international travel connections without requiring you to live in the heart of the city.
