Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited institution.
• Current California veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain).
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Strong clinical fundamentals; proficiency in general surgery and dentistry preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills; team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive exams, formulate diagnostic and treatment plans, and manage follow-up care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with clients to guide decisions and ensure understanding.
• Conduct diagnostics and perform general surgery and dentistry with a focus on quality and safety.
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records and uphold controlled substance protocols.
• Collaborate with the Hospital Manager and clinical team to prioritize workflow and enhance efficiency.
• Help refine hospital protocols from intake through discharge to maintain high standards of care.
• Monitor hospitalized cases and participate in rounds to support continuity and case outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing training and practice improvement initiatives.
