Job summary

Payson Pet Care, part of National Veterinary Associates (NVA), seeks veterinarians to practice a blend of GP and urgent care-style medicine in Payson, AZ. The role offers a flexible structure shaped to your strengths, with a strong community focus and supportive team.

Ideal candidates are DVMs or VMDs licensed in Arizona or eligible for license transfer, with interest in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine, plus excellent communication and collaborative spirit.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Arizona or able to become licensed.
• DVM or VMD from AVMA-accredited school; active veterinary license in AZ preferred.
• Experience in general medicine with interest in urgent care is a plus.

Responsibilities

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $130,000–$160,000, depending on experience
• Signing Bonus: Up to $30,000

About Our Hospital

• AAHA-accredited (only one within a 90-mile radius)
• 5,000 sq. ft. hospital with room to practice comfortably
• 4 exam rooms + dedicated compassion room
• Double surgery suite + full in-house lab

• No boarding or grooming
• Strong support team with a 2:1 tech-to-doctor ratio (3:1 when solo)

What We’re Looking For

• DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited institution
• Licensed (or able to become licensed) in Arizona
• Comfortable with general medicine; interest in urgent care is a plus
• Confidence in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine (or a desire to grow)
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
