Qualifications

• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution.
• Current license (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in Florida.
• DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain and maintain).
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice with solid clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency in general surgery and dentistry.
• Strong client communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform duties requiring standing, bending, and kneeling.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive exams, diagnostics, and medical workups.
• Communicate clearly with clients to guide treatment decisions and preventive care.
• Conduct general surgery and dentistry with high standards of medical quality.
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records.
• Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols.
• Collaborate with doctors, technicians, and support staff to optimize patient flow and teamwork.
• Help evaluate and refine hospital protocols from intake through discharge.
• Monitor hospitalized cases and participate in rounds as needed.
• Engage in ongoing training and practice updates.
