Are you looking for a practice where you can practice great medicine, receive exceptional mentorship, and build the career you want? Animal Medical Clinic in Kingsville, TX is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our collaborative and supportive 3-doctor team!
With nearly 50 years of serving the community, AMC Kingsville is a full-service mixed animal practice, and although the current caseload is primarily small animal, there is a genuine opportunity to grow the large-animal side of the practice for those interested. We will happily welcome both small-animal and mixed-animal veterinarians, including new graduates!
Build the large-animal practice you want. While our current caseload is primarily small animal, we have the facilities, equipment, and community relationships to support large-animal medicine. We see horses, cattle, dairy cattle, goats, pigs, and sheep, and have stocks, corrals, stalls, a hydraulic chute, large-animal ultrasound equipment, and equipment for reproductive work. We also provide large-animal house calls.
For the veterinarian who is excited to develop and grow a large-animal caseload, there is tremendous opportunity here. You can build relationships with local ranchers, agricultural programs, schools, and FFA organizations and help grow this side of the practice. That said, if you prefer small-animal only, you can focus your career there as well!
Work with an interesting K-9 population. AMC Kingsville works with working and public-safety dogs throughout the area, including Border Patrol, police, sheriff, and task-force K-9s. Learn from experienced mentors. Mentorship is a major part of our culture. Our Medical Director, and original founder of AMC Kingsville, Dr. Jerry Underbrink, is an experienced veterinarian and passionate mentor who enjoys teaching and developing younger doctors and students. New graduates are welcome, and experienced veterinarians will have the support and autonomy to continue growing their skills and career.
Join a truly tenured team. Our support staff is one of our greatest strengths, with several team members who have been with the hospital for 20+ years. The team is collaborative, knowledgeable, and invested in helping one another succeed. We have a strong culture of teamwork, open communication, and supporting our doctors. You can expect approximately a 2:1 tech:doc ratio.
