An excellent opportunity is available for a Veterinarian to join an established mixed animal practice in Independence, Kansas. About the Role

This position offers the opportunity to work within a diverse mixed animal practice where no two days are the same. The caseload includes companion animals, livestock, and occasional zoo animals, providing excellent variety for veterinarians who enjoy practicing across multiple species.

Responsibilities include wellness care, diagnostics, treatment planning, dentistry, surgery, farm calls, and client education. You will work closely with clients to support both companion animal and herd health while building long‑term relationships based on trust and compassionate care.

The practice is equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment tools, including digital radiography, ultrasound, dental radiography, in‑house IDEXX diagnostics, and a hydraulic cattle chute. Veterinarians benefit from a highly collaborative culture, strong clinical support, and mentorship from experienced mixed animal practitioners. Participation in a rotating after‑hours emergency and on‑call schedule is required.
