The ideal candidate is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with at least 5 years of ER and surgical experience, licensed to practice, and dedicated to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years as a practicing veterinarian with focus on ER and surgery.
• Valid veterinary license.
• Proven experience in an animal hospital setting.
• Extensive knowledge of animal science and veterinary best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle a variety of animals safely and calmly.
• Strong problem-solving skills for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations on a variety of animals.
• Conduct diagnostics (X-rays, blood tests, ultrasounds) to determine health issues.
• Perform surgical procedures (spay/neuter, dental, emergency surgeries).

Job Details

We are seeking a seasoned permanent Veterinarian with a passion for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency room procedures, surgery, and animal science. This position will require the candidate to work in a fast‑paced animal hospital setting, utilizing their expertise to ensure the health and well‑being of our furry patients. The permanent Veterinarian will be a key member of our healthcare team, working closely with our staff to provide the highest standard of care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations on a variety of animals to assess their health status and identify any health problems.
• Conduct diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, blood samples, and ultrasounds to determine the cause of health problems.
• Perform surgical procedures, including spay/neuter surgeries, dental procedures, and emergency surgeries.
• Prescribe medication and provide advice on pet care to animal owners.
• Collaborate with veterinary assistants and other healthcare team members to provide top‑note care to patients.
• Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely patient records, including diagnosis, treatment plans, and outcomes.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay up‑to‑date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.
• Educate pet owners on the importance of vaccinations, heartworm treatments, flea and tick prevention, and other aspects of preventive care.
