Protouch Staffing seeks a dedicated Veterinarian to join a companion animal practice in Charlottesville, VA. This full-time, on-site role provides medical, surgical, dental, and preventive care for small animals from puppies to geriatrics.

You will perform exams, diagnose illnesses, interpret diagnostics, create individualized treatment plans, and supervise anesthesia and pain management while educating clients and maintaining medical records.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• Eligible for veterinary licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Experience in small animal general practice and client communication.
• Ability to perform routine surgery, dentistry, and general medicine.
• Willingness to collaborate with staff and pursue continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and wellness evaluations.

• Interpret laboratory and imaging results to guide treatment.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to join a companion animal practice in Charlottesville, VA. This full-time, on-site position focuses on providing comprehensive medical, surgical, dental, and preventive care to small animals, from puppies and kittens through geriatric patients. The Veterinarian will perform examinations, diagnose illnesses and injuries, recommend and interpret diagnostics, develop individualized treatment plans, perform routine soft-tissue surgeries and dental procedures, prescribe medications, and oversee anesthesia and pain management.

Roles & Responsibilities

Education, Licensure, And Experience

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• Eligible for veterinary licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

• Ability and willingness to perform routine surgery, dentistry, and general medicine.
• Ability to interpret laboratory and imaging results and develop appropriate treatment plans.

• Ability to work effectively in a busy clinical environment and manage multiple cases.
