Job summary

Global Talent Partners Veterinary is seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian in Acworth, GA. You will conduct exams, recommend and administer preventive care, and perform soft-tissue and dental surgeries with in-house diagnostics.

The role emphasizes patient care, client education, and collaboration with technicians. Qualified candidates hold a DVM/VMD from an accredited school, possess a Georgia license or eligibility, and have DEA registration or eligibility.

Qualifications

  • DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active Georgia veterinary license or eligible to obtain.
  • DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred; strong medical, surgical, and dental skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient exams and diagnostic work-ups.
  • Deliver preventive care, internal medicine, and client education.
  • Perform soft-tissue and dental surgeries, including procedures supported by dental radiography.
  • Interpret digital and dental radiographs; utilize in-house lab diagnostics for efficient case management.
  • Triage and manage urgent cases during clinic hours.
  • Maintain thorough, timely medical records; leverage scribe tools where available to streamline documentation.
  • Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols.
  • Partner closely with technicians and support staff to ensure efficient, compassionate care.
  • Contribute to protocol refinement, attend case rounds when applicable, and support day-to-day hospital operations.
