Duties
  • Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and diseases in pets.
  • Perform surgical procedures as needed, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed.
  • Provide guidance on animal husbandry and care to pet owners.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all patients treated.
  • Utilize veterinary terminology effectively in communication with staff and clients.
  • Handle animals safely using proper animal restraint techniques during examinations and procedures.
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education.
Experience

3-5 years experience in a small animal general practitioner
Medical management of cases
Soft tissue surgery, and dental procedures among other duties.
