Job summary

The Fargo VA Health Care System is recruiting for 1 full-time Mental Health Counselor. The vacancy may be filled by a Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor, or Staff psychologist.

The position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) and is located at the main campus of the Fargo VA Health Care System. Responsibilities include screening, assessment, treatment planning, and delivering evidence-based psychotherapy to Veterans

Qualifications

• Requires MSW from a CSWE-accredited school.
• Licensure to practice social work at the independent level is required in most states.

Responsibilities

• Screening/Assessment, Treatment Planning/Goal Setting.
• Counseling services to Veterans, their families, and caregivers.
• Coordinate referrals to VA or community services.
• Provide crisis intervention and health promotion activities.
