Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Veteran Engagement Case Manager (VECM) within the Community Integrated Services (CIS) for the SSVF Program. The VECM works on a multi-disciplinary team to provide transitional support and case management services to participants and develop individualized service plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field, or 3 years of homeless services experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• First Aid/CPR certification within first 90 days of employment.
• Valid California driver license or alternative transportation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach with homeless providers to designated hot spots.
• Coordinate outreach across SPA 2, 5, 6, 7 and support outreach events.
• Attend meetings and participate in case conferences and team huddles.
• Conduct housing needs assessments and develop individualized service plans.
• Build relationships with landlords and assist with housing applications and searches.
• Provide tenant education and regular communication with landlords.
