Job summary

MSCCN in Seymour, IN is seeking a production worker to support line operations in a manufacturing environment. You will promote safety, operate packaging equipment, monitor quality, and help maintain efficient output on the production line.

You will follow established work instructions, assist with packaging tasks, label and ticket finished goods, and perform housekeeping to keep the line clean and safe. This is a full-time role with on-the-job training and opportunities for growth within the

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment.
• Adheres to Silgan safety policies and procedures to prevent injury to self and co-workers.
• Monitor ware for quality defects and promptly inform the operator and/ or the coordinator.
• Pack at standard rate.
• Operate a punch.
• Load conveyors and flamers.
• Practice housekeeping on assigned line(s) and around machine including mopping if necessary.
• Remove scrap from around the line.
• Grind and pull plastic as needed.
• Make and unitize cartons as assigned.
• Initial and date box labels.
• Make out unit tickets.
• Do any other work as assigned by the Supervisor.
