Job summary

GoodVets in Apex, NC is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians with surgical care, diagnostics, and patient education. This role blends hands-on clinical work with compassionate client communication in a collaborative hospital setting.

You will perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, assist with radiography, monitor anesthesia, and support surgeries while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Excellent teamwork and a growth‑minded attitude are valued.

Qualifications

• CVT or RVT license preferred but not required.
• Prior surgical and anesthesia experience in a veterinary clinical setting.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong customer service orientation and a passion for helping pets and people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters.
• Conduct radiographic imaging and assist with diagnostics.
• Monitor anesthesia and support veterinarians during surgical procedures.
• Conduct physical exams and patient assessments, communicating findings effectively.
• Assist in surgical preparation, dental procedures, and lab work.
• Deliver compassionate care to hospitalized patients, ensuring comfort and safety.
