Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is seeking a Full Time Surgical Care Specialist (Veterinary Scrub Assistant) for their Soquel location. You will support veterinarians by maintaining equipment, caring for patients, and performing administrative tasks. Collaboration and excellent patient care are at the heart of this role.

This position offers a structured schedule of 4 ten-hour shifts per week and a pay range of $21—$25 USD. Benefits include medical insurance, paid parental leave, and 401(k) contributions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the sterile field.
• Knowledge of instrument cleaning and sterilization.
• Equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and their owners as they arrive and take vital signs.
• Triage patients and administer treatment as directed.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients.
• Assist with the administration of medications.
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs.
• Educate clients about insurance and wellness.

Skills

Knowledge of the sterile field
