Job summary

Bedford Veterinary Medical Center invites 1st–4th year veterinary students to join as DVM externs. This paid externship offers 1:1 mentorship, hands-on experiences in urgent, preventive, and physical therapy domains, and opportunities for future advancement through our partner track. Flexible scheduling is available.

Ex externs will work in a warm, collaborative environment with access to rehabilitation, digital imaging, and IDEXX diagnostics to enhance clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Active veterinary student from an AVMA-accredited institution.
• 1st through 4th year veterinary student in good standing.
• Must be a compassionate team player with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn and grow under 1:1 mentorship and guidance.
• Assist in urgent, preventive and routine care alongside board-certified specialists.
• Work with modern imaging/diagnostic tools and contribute to patient care.
