Animal Medical Center of Plainfield is offering a Veterinary Extern externship for DVM students. You will work closely with supervising veterinarians to gain hands-on experience in GP medicine, taking histories, performing exams, creating treatment plans, reviewing diagnostics, dentistry, and assisting in surgeries.

Externships typically run from two to eight weeks, with opportunities to experience in-hospital procedures, wellness care, and 24/7/urgent care when available.

Qualifications

• Externship description and clinical exposure for veterinary students.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care, med dosages, in-house labs and diagnostics.
• Participate in surgical prep and procedures under supervision.
• Gain experience in GP medicine, dentistry, and emergency care as available.
