Family Vet Lake St. Louis is offering an externship track for Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students who are preparing to launch their careers. The externship includes a $1,000/week stipend and a clear path to a full-time doctor position if the fit is right.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program at an accredited university, graduating in 2027.
• Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Gain broad clinical experience under mentorship and supervision from experienced veterinarians.
• Observe and participate in medical and surgical procedures, diagnostic process, and client communication when possible.
• Genuine mentorship; you will not be lost in the shuffle and the team invests in your development.
• Enhance diagnostic skills by practicing interpretation of samples and lab results.
• Develop hands-on clinical skills in a supportive environment with growth opportunities.
