Job summary

Valley Cottage Animal Hospital offers a veterinary externship giving students hands-on clinical experience under supervision. You’ll work with Associate Veterinarians to gather histories, perform exams, create treatment plans, and assist with surgeries and dentistry. Externs will also practice communication with the team and clients.

Externships typically run from two to eight weeks, depending on schedules, with a provided travel/living stipend of $500 for Valley Cottage Animal Hospital.

• Externship at an NVA hospital offers hands-on clinical experience.
• You will assist with patient histories, exams, treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgeries.
• Externals will develop communication with the medical team, staff, and clients.
