Churchville Veterinary Clinic in Maryland is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians. The role focuses on animal handling, basic care, and assisting with daily clinical tasks in a busy hospital setting.

Responsibilities include monitoring hospitalized patients, assisting with diagnostics, medication administration, lab collection, and client education. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Veterinary experience is preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsabilités

• Provide care for hospitalized patients including feeding, water, exercise and a clean environment.
• Safely handle patients for exam, diagnostics and treatments.
• Fill, dispense and administer medications under supervision.
• Collect lab samples and run in-house tests.
• Perform outpatient services such as nail trims and gland expressions.
• Complete medical records, estimates and treatment plans with accuracy.
• Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas and surgical suites.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Assist with client education, estimates, discharge instructions.
• Support inventory management and stock levels.
• Use telephones and electronic medical records systems.
• Schedule appointments and answer phones as needed.
