Job summary

Carlton Staffing is recruiting for a Vessel Fitter to join our Northwest Houston client in a fast-paced fabrication shop. The position offers hourly pay from $23.00 to $28.00, DOE, with temp-to-hire potential.

Work hours are 6:00 AM–5:30 PM or 6:00 PM–5:30 AM, with overtime possible on Saturdays, and a primary focus on pressure vessel assembly and welding. Ideal candidates will have at least five years of pressure vessel fabrication experience, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to pass a

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of pressure vessel fabrication experience required.
• Must be able to read blueprints, perform layout calculations, use fitting and welding tools.
• Pass a 3G weld test.
• Experience with carbon and stainless-steel vessels preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fit pressure vessel components using engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
• Perform fit-up of nozzles, couplings, internals, and structural components for carbon and stainless-steel vessels.
• Use MIG and flux core welding for tacking and operate fabrication equipment, including grinders, torches, and plasma cutting tools.
• Assist with inspections and maintain quality and safety standards throughout the fabrication process.

DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:

• Job Title: Vessel Fitter
• Location: Northwest Houston, TX
• Pay: $23.00 - $28.00/hour DOE and test results
• Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 6:00 PM – 5:30 AM (Saturday overtime may be required with notice provided on Thursdays)
• Duration: Temp-to-Hire
• Description of Duties: Assemble and fit pressure vessel components using engineering drawings and fabrication specifications. Perform fit-up of nozzles, couplings, internals, and structural components for carbon and stainless-steel vessels. Use MIG and flux core welding for tacking and operate fabrication equipment, including grinders, torches, and plasma cutting tools.
