Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Baker City, OR is seeking a motivated PRN/On-Call Medical Assistant to support the Baker City Family Medicine Clinic. You will work in an outpatient setting, promoting compassionate patient care across several areas.

You will be cross-trained to cover staffing needs, with a minimum of 2 shifts per month and day shifts when scheduled. Training lasts about 2–4 weeks for part-time or full-time hours.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• MA credentialing from CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMAC, or NPCE MA within 15 months of hire or transfer date.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, perform vital signs, maintain a clean, stocked clinical area.
• May perform phlebotomy, immunizations, and assist with procedures and injections.
• Complete clerical tasks such as scheduling, prior authorizations, referrals, and tracking tests.
