Job summary

Live Nation Entertainment is seeking dedicated Venue Security for Mystic Lake Amphitheater. Part-time seasonal role overseeing safety, crowd control, screening, and incident response. The position requires physical stamina, the ability to walk, climb stairs, and lift 50 lbs or more.

As part of our security team, you will guard entrances, monitor premises, and help uphold venue rules while supporting sustainability initiatives and teamwork across the crew.

Qualifications

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent and security/law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to perform duties professionally with sound judgment within policy and procedures.
  • Strong teamwork and ability to execute programs in a live event setting.

Responsibilities

  • Circulate among guests and staff to preserve safety, order and protect venue property.
  • Monitor and authorize entrances/exits to guard against theft and maintain security.
  • Write daily activity reports and irregularities as needed.
  • Patrol premises to prevent intrusion and secure doors, windows and gates.
  • Operate screening devices to prevent prohibited articles from entering restricted areas.
  • Support sustainability programs by educating fans and sorting waste.
  • Collaborate with crew at show end to secure and store equipment.
  • Warn violators and remove individuals from premises as required.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Job Title / Role

Venue Nation is hiring for Venue Security at Mystic Lake Amphitheater. Venue Security is responsible for guard, patrol, and/or monitor the venue premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. May operate metal detector equipment. Call times range from all day to gates. Positions vary but include pit, backstage, rope line, and security check. This position is a Part-Time Seasonal Role.

Job Functions
  • Circulate among guests and/or employees to preserve safety, order and to protect the venue property.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security and safety of the premises.
  • May write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
  • Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
  • Show CARE by participating in the venue’s sustainability program which could include implementing programs that conserve resources/prevent waste such as sorting waste and collecting recycling and educating our fans about our efforts.
  • Partner with fellow crew members at the end of show to close the venue- this may include collecting recyclables from the lawn and/or reserved section, picking up and properly storing event equipment such as lawn chairs, barricade, Etc.
  • Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises.
  • Other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Security/Law Enforcement experience preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment, and enforcement procedures.
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance; ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy.
  • A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
  • Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+ and occasional sitting.
Compensation

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.

$19.20 USD - $24.00 USD Hourly
