Job summary

Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) seeks a Venture Operations Director for a remote, limited-term assignment. You will design and implement the operational foundation for venture investment activities, establish scalable processes, governance, and reporting across the Wisconsin Investment Fund.

Collaborating with Finance, Legal, IT and Strategy teams, you will develop dashboards, templates, procedures, and change-management plans to enable effective investment management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field.
• 5+ years in venture capital, private equity, investment management, or related field.
• Experience designing and implementing operational frameworks, governance structures, reporting systems, or process improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated success leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement investment operations, governance frameworks, and portfolio management processes.
• Lead cross-functional efforts to develop standardized workflows, decision-making structures, reporting practices, and controls.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, IT, and Strategic Investment teams to build scalable investment management capabilities.
• Develop portfolio monitoring tools, dashboards, performance metrics, and reporting frameworks.
