Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Accountant with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our clients and report directly to one of our Venture Capital CFOs. While knowledge of venture capital accounting is a plus, it is not required. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a solid accounting background and a willingness to learn the specifics of venture capital.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Nakama team in preparing and reviewing financial statements to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Manage general ledger and journal entries, including month-end and year-end close processes.
• Work with outside fund administrators to help perform reconciliations of bank accounts, investments, and other financial accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis for clients.
• Collaborate with the CFOs and other team members to support the financial needs of clients.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to help clients make informed decisions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaboration with third party accounting firms to assist with the year end audit and tax process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Knowledge of venture capital accounting is a plus but not required; a willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
