Elevate Care Chicago North is seeking an experienced Ventilator Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our team. You will provide essential care to patients who depend on ventilator support and collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Experience with ventilator care preferred.
• CPR & ACLS certification.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Ventilator management: continuous assessment, monitoring and care for ventilated patients.
• Patient monitoring: track vitals, oxygenation and ventilator settings.
• Administer treatments and medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and healthcare team.
• Provide patient and family education on ventilator use and care.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and ventilator malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and ventilator settings.
