Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a registered nurse for the 4EF Medical and Telemetry unit at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center.

This 36-hour/week full-time role operates 3 days a week, 1500-0330, with weekend rotation and holiday requirements. You will provide holistic nursing care using the nursing process, collaborate with the health care team, and focus on respiratory and acute/chronic conditions; you will participate in discharge planning and patient education.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required and current in the state of practice.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with appropriate certification.
• Strong clinical judgement and ability to work in a high acuity environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Lead with evidence-based practice to ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Assess needs, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes with the care team.
• Engage patients and families in planning care and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and RNs to coordinate care.
• Promote safety and manage change in patient conditions as needed.
