Job summary

Sunward Federal Credit Union seeks a Third-Party & Vendor Risk Specialist to administer the vendor risk program within the enterprise risk function. You will provide independent second-line oversight of vendor relationships and ensure compliant execution across the lifecycle.

Responsibilities include maintaining vendor inventory and risk tiering, conducting due diligence, ongoing monitoring, fourth-party risk, and coordinating with Legal, IT Security, and Compliance to close gaps.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years in risk management or vendor risk management within a financial institution.
• Experience supporting regulatory examinations or audits preferred.
• COSO/risk framework knowledge applied to workflows.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Sunward’s vendor inventory and risk tiering with ongoing monitoring.
• Coordinate due diligence, SOC report reviews, and data requirements across units.
• Support assessment of fourth party and concentration risk; escalate high-risk findings.
• Collaborate with Legal, IT Security, Compliance and VROs to close gaps in docs and SLAs.
• Administer vendor/contract management systems (e.g., Tandem) and ensure data integrity.
