Job description

Hybrid - Work Remotely Mondays & Fridays

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and relationship-focused Vendor Manager to join a collaborative team in Colorado Springs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in vendor management, supplier relationships, procurement, project/program management, contracts, or a related field who enjoys bringing structure and accountability to complex business relationships.

We are looking for someone who knows how to build strong relationships, coordinate across multiple stakeholders, track commitments and performance, and keep vendors and internal teams moving in the same direction.

This is a hybrid position with remote work available on Mondays and Fridays and onsite work Tuesday through Thursday. The position is expected to begin as a contract role with the potential to transition into a long-term/direct-hire opportunity after approximately one year based on successful performance and demonstrated value.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Coordinate vendor relationships throughout the full lifecycle, from onboarding and ongoing performance through renewals and offboarding
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, leadership, Procurement, Finance, and other internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate vendor performance reviews and help prepare scorecards, reports, meeting materials, and follow-up documentation
  • Track contract milestones, renewals, performance expectations, risks, commitments, and action items
  • Facilitate vendor meetings, document decisions and next steps, and ensure appropriate follow-through
  • Support contract and renewal reviews by gathering performance, financial, risk, and stakeholder information
  • Maintain accurate vendor and contract documentation
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, templates, procedures, and performance metrics
  • Identify trends, gaps, upcoming deadlines, and opportunities to improve vendor management processes
  • Provide ongoing coordination and support to leadership surrounding vendor relationships and performance
What We're Looking For

We are keeping the background requirements intentionally broad. Strong candidates may come from vendor management, supplier management, procurement, project management, program management, contract management, operations, or similar environments.

Ideal candidates will bring:

  • Experience managing vendors, suppliers, projects, programs, contracts, or external business relationships
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organization and follow-through with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience tracking performance metrics, deliverables, contracts, risks, or action items
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work comfortably with both external partners and organizational leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • ITIL certification is a plus, but not required
  • No specific degree or certification is required
Why Consider This Opportunity?

This role offers the chance to step into a highly visible position where you'll work closely with leadership and have the opportunity to help strengthen and improve an evolving vendor management program.

You'll also have the flexibility of a hybrid schedule with two remote days each week, competitive hourly compensation, and the potential to turn the opportunity into a long-term/direct-hire position for someone who performs well and adds value to the organization.
