(NASDAQ: BKNG), is an industry leader with a passion for helping restaurants thrive. Our world-class technology empowers restaurants to focus on what matters most – their team, their guests, and their bottom line – while enabling diners to discover and book the perfect restaurant for every occasion.

Every employee at OpenTable has a tangible impact on what we do and how we do it. You’ll also be part of a global team and its portfolio of metasearch brands. Hospitality is all about taking care of others, and it defines our culture.

About the job

The Vendor Management Lead oversees end-to-end vendor governance, onboarding, and lifecycle management to ensure full compliance, data integrity, and payment accuracy across the organization. Serving as a primary liaison between Accounts Payable, Procurement, Legal, Compliance, Treasury, and internal business partners, this role strengthens operational security and mitigates third-party risk. Working in close collaboration with Accounts Payable leadership, you will champion fraud prevention, continuous process improvement, and system automation. Your efforts will build scalable vendor management frameworks that support organizational growth and enhance cross-functional efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Govern Vendor Onboarding & Master Data: Lead end-to-end vendor setup and maintenance, ensuring rigorous validation of business registration, tax documentation (W-9/W-8), and bank details to maintain data hygiene and prevent duplicates, and manage quarterly 1099 vendor data reviews for tax readiness
  • Oversee Vendor Master Data & Lifecycle Governance: Drive vendor master data strategy through routine audits, monitoring vendor activity trends, enforcing internal controls, and leading performance reviews to ensure compliance with contractual terms and operational standards.
  • Strengthen Procurement Operations Governance: Oversee procurement operations and controls around vendor spending commitments, enforcing policy compliance, optimizing procurement governance and the exploration of implementing PO workflows.
  • Mitigate Third-Party Risk & Prevent Fraud: Partner with Legal and Compliance on Know Your Partner (KYP) due diligence and sanctions screening, while reviewing and approving high-risk banking changes using verification protocols to safeguard company payments.
  • Optimize Systems & Workflows: Lead process improvement and automation initiatives across vendor management platforms, AP tools, and ERP systems to increase operational efficiency and scalability. This includes partnering on the implementation of new vendor onboarding processes to scale with business growth, taking ownership to learn existing pain points and translate operational challenges into automated solutions using modern tools.
  • Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a trusted strategic partner for internal stakeholders and external vendors, resolving complex onboarding, maintenance, and compliance issues.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Procurement, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier governance, or Accounts Payable operations.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end vendor onboarding, vendor master data governance, and internal compliance controls and process improvement initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience working with ERP systems, vendor management platforms, and Accounts Payable automation tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multi-departmental teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting global vendor operations, multi-entity environments, and international payment frameworks.
  • In-depth knowledge of KYC/KYP compliance requirements, sanctions screening, and third-party risk management frameworks.
  • Experience leading system implementation, ERP integration, or workflow automation projects.
