QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator at a company in Milwaukee, WI. This is a direct hire position for 1st shift. The Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator maintains the customer's inventory replenishment levels and stocks based on approved schedule, customer's forecast, and agreed-upon targets.
Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Drives company vehicles to transport and deliver product to designated locations in a safe manner in compliance with all Wisconsin laws
- Works to ensure the accuracy of shipments to the customer
- Reviews daily shipment schedule and, in discussion with other production manager and team leaders, plans and prioritizes daily work schedule to meet customer delivery requirements
- Alerts team members of any special customer delivery requirements
- Accurately pulls product from carousel/Vertical Lift Module (VLM) and stages it for delivery
- Creates and distributes Short List for future deliveries
- Follows up with production manager and team leads on parts needed for delivery
- Ensures the completed finished goods are labeled and bagged properly (bag quantity, total quantity on job, and revision match job traveler)
- Works closely with customer's receiving personnel and ensure satisfactory on all deliveries
- Delivers products to customer and conducts inventory at their facilities to establish future delivery
- Creates and releases VMI work orders based off of customer forecasts, customer purchase orders, and past usage (order fulfillment)
- Maintains awareness of Min/Max levels and reorder point quantities
- Recommends changes to the customer inventory levels based on usage
- Performs weekly cycle counts of finished good parts
- Solicits opinions of co-workers on effectiveness of the warehouse department operation and implements viable recommendations
- Assists with customer returns
- Picks up urgent or expedited materials from vendors
- Purchases supplies for production/maintenance (Home Depot, Office Max, etc)
- Manages maintenance on company vehicles
- Drops off scrap wire/cable
- Returns empty job bins to kitting/receiving department
- Conducts daily safety check of forklift trucks and maintenance needs of the finished good carousel and VLM
- Shares in minor repair work and housekeeping responsibilities of facility
Requirements for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator:
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicles
- Ability to ensure the accuracy of shipments
- Ability to plan and prioritize daily work schedules
- Ability to pull and stage product from carousel/Vertical Lift Module (VLM)
- Ability to create and release VMI work orders
- Ability to maintain awareness of Min/Max levels and reorder point quantities
- Ability to perform weekly cycle counts
- Ability to work closely with customer receiving personnel
- Ability to solicit feedback and implement viable recommendations
