Job summary

Laboratory Express is seeking a vendor courier to transport specimen samples on local routes in the Chicago area, starting Evanston, IL and ending in Downtown Chicago (FedEx).

Routes run Mon-Fri, about 40 miles in ~2.2 hours, with roughly 7 pickups and 1 delivery daily. You will be paid $72 per day plus $8 per will call; start date is 8/3/26.

Qualifications

• Adequate, reliable transportation.
• Auto Insurance required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Active smartphone (Android or iPhone) with data plan.
• Federal Tax ID Number (EIN).
• Business checking account.
• Professional courier experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide vehicle for local routes to transport specimen samples between pickup sites and destination locations.
• Use a smartphone to collect data used for tracking and invoicing for services.
• Follow MON-FRI ROUTE with approximate start and end times.
• Deliveries and pickups: ~7 pickups and 1 delivery per day; ~40 miles in about 2.2 hours.
• Adhere to EIN and business account requirements, and receive 1099 earnings.

Responsibilities:

As a vendor working with our company, a requirement is that you supply a vehicle for service on local routes to transport specimen samples from pickup locations (collection sites) to local destination locations or local shipping locations. A smartphone is required to collect data used for tracking and invoicing for your services.
