Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Vendor Oversight Specialist to monitor a network of third-party service providers and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. You will build relationships with vendors, track annual reviews, and escalate issues to leadership as needed.

The role involves due diligence on new vendors, managing contract obligations, and maintaining accurate records in the vendor management system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in financial services, mortgage servicing, auditing, or vendor management.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Visio).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review large volumes of vendor documentation for annual reviews in compliance with policies.
• Monitor and review vendor documents throughout the oversight lifecycle to ensure policy compliance.
• Escalate identified risks or privacy issues to leadership in a timely manner.
• Maintain vendor management inbox and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Manage ongoing reviews and contract obligations and ensure accurate records in the system.
• Coordinate with leadership when issues cannot be resolved at first level.
• Perform due diligence on new vendors and document findings for approvals.
• Serve as first point of contact for vendors and communicate status updates.
• Review FNMA/FHLMC docs for compliance and update status in the system.
• Coordinate vendor invoices and ensure timely processing.
• Ensure internal records are current and up-to-date.
• Respond to site audit exceptions and track remediation plans.
• Support vendor communications and track acknowledgments.
• Research potential new providers to meet business needs.
• Log consumer complaints and coordinate remediation.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
