Fleet Farm is seeking Vendor Analysts to support two category areas, focusing on demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, purchasing, and retail analytics. The role emphasizes high-volume, fast-moving consumables and requires strong Excel and ERP proficiency.

Onsite positions in Appleton, WI involve collaborating with merchants and suppliers to ensure the right products in the right quantities at the right time.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SKU-level forecasts.
• Analyze sales, inventory, margin, turns, and sell-through.
• Recommend order quantities based on demand and inventory needs.
• Manage purchase orders, vendor confirmations, lead times, and fulfillment.
• Identify potential out-of-stocks, overstocks, and slow-moving inventory.
• Partner closely with merchants and suppliers.
• Support seasonal, promotional, and new-product planning.
• Execute store allocations and inventory transfers.
• Turn data into actionable recommendations for the business.

We currently have Vendor Analyst opportunities supporting two different category areas at Fleet Farm:

We’re especially interested in candidates who bring strong analytical and inventory-planning skills along with professional or personal knowledge of:

You do not need to have worked professionally in these categories. If you’re an angler, hunter, sport shooter, or outdoor enthusiast who also has a strong analytical, inventory, purchasing, or supply chain background, we want to hear from you.

This opportunity supports our Consumables business and is a great fit for someone with experience in high-volume, fast-moving merchandise.

Relevant backgrounds could include:

• Grocery or food & beverage
• Household or everyday essentials
• Retail replenishment or inventory planning
• High-volume or high-SKU-count categories

Experience understanding sales velocity, seasonality, promotions, replenishment, inventory turns, and changing customer demand would be especially valuable.

WHAT OUR VENDOR ANALYSTS DO

Regardless of category, our Vendor Analysts play an important role in making sure Fleet Farm has the right products, in the right quantities, in the right locations, at the right time.

You’ll:

• Develop and maintain SKU-level forecasts
• Analyze sales, inventory, margin, turns, and sell-through
• Recommend order quantities based on demand and inventory needs
• Manage purchase orders, vendor confirmations, lead times, and fulfillment
• Identify potential out-of-stocks, overstocks, and slow-moving inventory
• Partner closely with merchants and suppliers
• Support seasonal, promotional, and new-product planning
• Execute store allocations and inventory transfers
• Turn data into actionable recommendations for the business

We’re interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following:

• Demand planning & forecasting
• Inventory management & replenishment
• Vendor/supplier management

Strong Excel and analytical skills are important, along with the ability to manage a large number of SKUs, purchase orders, deadlines, and competing priorities.

Retail experience and experience with ERP, inventory, forecasting, or planning systems are also valuable.

These positions are fully onsite in Appleton.
