Job summary

Airgas is seeking a Vendor Technician for our Geneva, NY location. The role focuses on servicing existing vending accounts, stocking and maintaining cabinets, and delivering industrial gases and safety products.

You will troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and ensure inventory is accurate across multiple sites. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid US driver’s license, and the ability to lift 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license.
• At least 21 years old.
• Prior inventory management, customer service, sales and/or PC help desk experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and services key vending accounts and cabinets/storage areas for inventory of gases, consumables, and safety products.
• Performs basic troubleshooting and mechanical repairs as needed.
• Serves existing accounts within an assigned territory.
• Delivers and replenishes to customers various industrial products and vending‑machine items.
• Performs basic troubleshooting and repairs on vending systems as needed.
• Reviews stock levels and reorders for multiple plant departments.
• Maintains branch inventory levels for proper replenishment.

Job Responsibilities

• The Vendor Technician delivers and services key vending account customers and customer cabinets/storerooms relative to inventory of gases, consumables and safety products.
• Additionally, this position does basic troubleshooting and mechanical repairs as needed.
• This position focuses on servicing existing accounts throughout an assigned territory.
• Delivery and replenishment to customers of various industrial products and vending machine or storeroom items.
• Performs basic troubleshooting and repairs mechanical vending systems as needed.
• Reviews manual stock levels of various inventories at multiple plant departments for reorder.
• Maintains dedicated branch inventory levels for proper replenishment.
• Tracks and turns in delivery tickets and consignment fill tickets.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license.
• At least 21 years old.
• Must have prior inventory management, customer service, sales and/or PC help desk related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in product distribution or inventory management.
• Experience with welding and safety products or related industrial products a plus.
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) or Google Suite.
• Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing; listens effectively and clarifies information as needed.
• Ability to problem solve and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Lives by Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures which are applicable to this position’s responsibilities.
• Able to lift 30 pounds
• Mechanically and technologically competent
