Job Description
The vehicle wrapper/vinyl installer professionally installs printed and cut graphics, window films, and architectural finishes on vehicles, glass, walls, millwork, and other surfaces. This role requires accurate surveys, careful surface preparation, precise installation, finishing, and quality inspection while following approved artwork, job instructions, safety procedures, and project schedules. Responsibilities
- Install full and partial vehicle wraps, fleet graphics, lettering, decals, wall vinyl, window graphics, and architectural resurfacing films such as 3M DI-NOC.
- Perform site surveys to verify dimensions, substrates, surface conditions, placement, access, equipment needs, and installation requirements; provide clear photos and field notes.
- Review job jackets, approved artwork, measurements, and installation instructions before beginning work.
- Inspect and prepare vehicles and surfaces; clean, degrease, remove adhesive or existing vinyl, and remove/reinstall appropriate trim as needed.
- Measure, align, apply, heat, stretch, squeegee, trim, seal, and finish materials according to manufacturer recommendations and LSI quality standards.
- Complete wet installations of solar film, security film, decorative window film, and related glass applications while controlling dust, moisture, edges, and finish quality.
- Safely use knives, heat guns, squeegees, ladders, scaffolding, lifts, hand tools, and power tools; inspect completed work, correct defects, and protect customer property.
Requirements
- Professional vehicle wrapping, vinyl, window film, or architectural film installation experience is strongly preferred; 3M, Avery Dennison, or similar certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of vinyl, adhesives, wet-application films, solar films, security films, architectural finishes, surface preparation, heat application, trimming, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to perform accurate surveys and read measurements, scaled drawings, elevations, artwork proofs, and written instructions.
- Strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, reliability, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or with a team.
- Valid driver license and acceptable driving record.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in production areas and at indoor or outdoor client sites, with possible exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, water, adhesives, cleaning solutions, vehicle exhaust, and active construction.
- Early mornings, evenings, weekends, overtime, travel, and work from ladders or lifts may occasionally be required to meet project schedules.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods; bend, kneel, crouch, reach, twist, work overhead, climb ladders, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity, visual acuity, and color recognition are required.
