Eastern Communications, Ltd. is hiring a Vehicle Installation Technician to install, configure, and maintain specialized equipment in vehicles used by public safety and utilities.

The role ensures equipment meets safety and operational standards and requires attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. You will work with the Installation Supervisor to plan work, follow wiring diagrams, and stay current on industry trends and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in automotive or electronics is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Experience in automotive upfitting or electronics installation.
• Familiarity with law enforcement equipment such as emergency lighting, comms, and computers.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure specialized police, fire, or utility equipment in vehicles.
• Collaborate with Installation Supervisor to plan installations based on vehicle specs.
• Follow manuals and wiring diagrams to ensure proper installation.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Record installation details and configurations for future reference.
