Job summary

ADAboy, Inc. is seeking a Fabrication & Upfit Technician to perform skilled welding, fabrication, vehicle modification, and assembly for wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions and related products at our Baconton, GA production facility.

The role may support R&D through prototype fabrication, test builds, and development of new conversion processes. As products move to regular production, you will complete fabrication, welding, modification, and assembly for builds with attention to quality

Qualifications

• Welding and metal fabrication experience required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on fabrication ability.
• Automotive, vehicle modification, fabrication, assembly, or related skilled-trade experience preferred.
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, fit, fabricate, weld, and assemble components.
• Ability to safely use welding equipment, fabrication equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to work from drawings, measurements, specifications, prototypes, and work instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to adapt as products and processes move from development into regular production.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication & Welding: perform welding and metal fabrication for vehicle conversions, components, prototypes, and production builds.
• Vehicle Upfitting & Assembly: disassemble, modify, install, assemble and reassemble vehicles.
• R&D & Product Development: fabricate prototypes and test components from drawings and samples.
• Quality & Safety: follow drawings and procedures, inspect finished work, maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Other Duties: assist with production requirements and business needs.
