Daimler Truck North America LLC. in Portland, OR is seeking a Systems Architect to own vehicle dynamics system design and interfaces. You will model functional architecture, decide ECU signals, and derive system requirements for robust, safe, and market-leading features.

The role requires MBSE knowledge, cross-functional collaboration, and experience with complex vehicle systems. Hybrid schedule; relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (systems, electrical or mechanical preferred).
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in systems engineering or architecture.
• Strong cross-functional communication and ownership mindset.
• Understanding of requirements and systems engineering processes.
• Experience in MBSE, E/E components and architecture is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain system specifications and content definitions (SCD).
• Derive functions and requirements from features, vehicle and legal needs.
• Collaborate with system integration engineers and component owners.
• Define interfaces and align with other systems.
• Support traceability from customer requests through to functions.
• Lead reviews with stakeholders and ensure alignment with milestones.
