Job summary

BrightView is seeking a mechanic to maintain and repair a range of engines while upholding safety and efficiency standards at our Canton Township, MI location. You will perform regular servicing, diagnose issues, and report on equipment condition to help keep landscapes and machinery productive.

The role requires at least 2 years of hands-on experience with trucks and engines, with welding skills and bilingual Spanish/English a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with basic truck and vehicle maintenance and repair
• Experience with diesel engines, heavy and light equipment
• Welding experience
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

Job Summary

The Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of large and small engines

Provide information and reports on equipment

Ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely at all times

Education and Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience with basic truck and vehicle maintenance and repair

Small engine, 2-cycle

Diesel Engine, heavy and light equipment

Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

Welding experience

Physical Demands/Requirements:

Regular Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds

Repetitive movement: standing, walking, twisting, turning, bending, squatting, stooping

Work Environment:

Noise level in work environment is usually moderate, and Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions, including sun, rain, cold
