Job summary

AMR is hiring a Part-Time Vehicle Service Technician (VST) in Concord, CA. You will ensure ambulances are stocked, maintained, and ready for response, while keeping a safe environment for crew and patients. You’ll perform inventory checks, document updates, and report issues to the Fleet Manager.

Strong communication with teams is essential. Requirements include a State Driver’s License, a high school diploma or GED, and a driving record in policy.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure ambulances are fully stocked, safely maintained and ready for transport.
  • Maintain a safe and clean vehicle environment for crew and patients.
  • Perform daily vehicle inventory checks and update the equipment tracking log.
  • Run regular mechanical checks (oil, washer fluid, batteries) and report issues to Fleet Manager.
  • Document information clearly and adhere to company policies and security standards.
  • Communicate effectively with other vehicle service techs and departments to coordinate efforts.

We’rehiringaVehicle Service Technician(VST)responsibleforensuringour ambulances areeffectively serviced, safe andreadyforresponse.Thisis a key roleto help our teammaintainanddelivertimelyandhigh-qualitytransportation services,careandcustomer service to patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Vehicle Service Technicianswillensure the ambulancesarefully stocked,safelymaintenanceand ready toprovidetransportation services.
  • Take pride inmaintaininga safe and clean vehicleenvironmentfor the crew and the patients.
  • Managedailyvehicle inventory checks toensurestockofsupplies and equipment,regularlyupdate the equipment tracking log andplace replacement requests when necessary.
  • Runregularmechanical checks including oil, washerfluidand batteries,andreport any vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager as needed.
  • Clearly documentinformationasrequiredandadhere to company policies and procedureswhilecomplying withthe company’s information security standards.
  • Use appropriatecommunication methodsto help facilitatecoordination of efforts between departmentscrewsand other vehicle service techs.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellowVSTsand operations team.
MinimumRequiredQualifications:
  • State Driver’s License
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Driving record in compliance with company policy
  • Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
