Job summary

AutoNation in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Service Porter to support the service department. You will assist with service write-ups, tag customer vehicles, and help maintain vehicle cleanliness and the lot organization. The role involves safe operation of vehicles, driving as needed, and delivering parts or vehicles as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6–12 months of previous work experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks.
• Remove vehicle coverings and ID tags prior to returning vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles for stains, debris and damages and report issues.
• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed; perform deliveries.
• Keep interior and exterior of vehicles clean; keep the lot neat and orderly.
• Return vehicle keys to the service consultant; pick up and deliver vehicles to storage.
• Test batteries in service drive; assist with shop cleanup and deliveries as needed.
